CASE STUDY ONE.
A complete coaching platform, built in fourteen days
Client: Empowered Life Vision, Sunshine Coast, Australia
Delivered: under SHE Virtual Assistance Services, as contractor, project manager and delivery lead
Platform: Kajabi
Timeline: twelve to fourteen days, fixed price
The situation
A coaching business with a clear offer and no platform to deliver it. The lead capture that existed was a quiz run manually through Instagram, which meant every lead lived on a platform the business did not own and every result had to be sent by hand.
The brief was not "build a website". It was to get from nothing to a business that could take a lead, qualify them, sell to them, deliver to them, and book them, without anyone touching it manually.
What I built
-
A full Kajabi site, branded and structured from an empty account
-
The Instagram quiz rebuilt as a native multi-step Kajabi funnel, with response-based tagging and personalised result pages
-
A nine-module course with drip scheduling configured module by module
-
A nine-email sequence connected to product events and tested against the drip schedule, so each email lands with the module it refers to
-
Checkout, offer pricing, and payment configuration
-
A booking system connected and tested
What made it work
Fourteen days is only possible with a fixed scope agreed in writing before anything starts, and a client who supplies their material on time. Both were true here. The build was phased so the client saw a working result before committing to the next stage.
Before handover I went through the whole thing as a new lead and again as a new student, taking the quiz, buying the product, receiving the emails, and booking a call. Nothing was marked done until it had been used.
The outcome
Phase one was delivered on time and handed over inside the fourteen-day window, with the platform ready to take customers. The business moved from having no owned digital asset to owning its lead capture, its content delivery, and its checkout.
CASE STUDY TWO.
A navigation feature Kajabi does not offer, built and documented
Client: An Australian digital education business.
Platform: Kajabi, with custom JavaScript
The situation
A growing library of member resources inside Kajabi, with no way to sort or filter it. Members scrolled a single long list to find anything. Kajabi does not offer categorised library navigation natively, so the options were to accept it, move the content off the platform, or build it.
What I built
-
A categorised and colour-coded member library, built with custom JavaScript in the platform code area
-
Category logic that the client can extend without touching the code
-
A full change record covering the complete code, every settings change, and before and after screenshots
-
A maintenance guide, so the feature survives a Kajabi update and does not depend on my memory or my availability
What made it work
Custom code inside a hosted platform is where things quietly break. Site-wide scripts reach pages they were never meant to touch, and the damage usually shows up on a device nobody tested.
So the scope was defined page by page before a line was written, and the result was tested on a real member account across desktop and mobile before it was called done. The documentation is the part most people skip. It is the reason this feature is an asset rather than a liability the day I stop working with them.
The outcome
Members can find what they need by category instead of scrolling. The client owns the code, the change record, and the maintenance guide, so any developer can pick it up.
CASE STUDY THREE.
A five-page author website, built solo alongside a book launch
Client: Hannah Bjorkman Stauber, author, speaker, and certified family nurse practitioner. Utah, United States
Book: Give Yourself Permission: Overcoming Female Oppression
My role: website design, build, and copy, delivered directly
Also contributed: manuscript and publishing support, delivered under the guidance of Tiffany Berg
Platform: Squarespace, Mailchimp, Canva
The situation
An author with a finished manuscript heading for publication, and nothing online to send readers to. No site, no email list, no home for the book once it existed.
A book without a website has one route to the reader, which is the Amazon listing. That works for the sale and nothing else. It captures no email addresses, tells no story, and gives a speaker no place to point an audience.
What I built
-
A five-page responsive Squarespace site, designed and built from scratch
-
Website copy, including the book summary and the opt-in messaging
-
A Mailchimp opt-in and newsletter setup, so readers arriving for the book joined a list the author owns
-
Branded social and launch graphics in Canva
-
Amazon purchase links embedded, and the digital resource library organised
Alongside the build
The manuscript refinement and the Amazon KDP publishing side of this project were delivered under the guidance of Tiffany Berg. My contribution there covered editorial refinement for clarity and coherence, and interior formatting to print-ready KDP standard, including trim size, mirrored margins, running heads, chapter openers, and a linked table of contents.
What made it work
I had read the manuscript closely before I wrote a word of the website. That is why the site sounds like the book rather than like marketing about the book, which is the join where most author websites fail.
The outcome
The book was published to Amazon KDP and supported by a live site with an email list capturing readers from the first day it went up.
What the client said
"Abi is amazing to work with, and she has a laser focus to help you get clarity on what you want. Then, she delivers spectacular service! I highly recommend her." Hannah Stauber, FNP, author & speaker
CASE STUDY FOUR.
Six months holding the backend of a growing coaching practice
Client: Madeleine Eliza, Bhakti Lab. Byron Bay, Australia
Engagement: direct client, April to September 2025
Platform: Squarespace, Mailchimp, Circle.so, Canva
The situation
A feminine leadership mentor with a growing practice, digital products to sell and deliver, a community to look after, and launches to run. The work sat across a website, an email platform, a community platform, a calendar, and an inbox.
Nothing was broken. That is the point. The problem was that everything worked slightly differently, no single person held the whole picture, and the founder was the fallback whenever two systems disagreed. That is a tax on the person who can least afford to pay it.
What I ran
-
Squarespace site and digital product setup, including delivery to the buyer
-
Automated email sequences, with tagging and segmentation so the right people got the right thing
-
Circle.so community support
-
Launch planning and execution
-
Branded visual assets in Canva
-
Backend troubleshooting across the whole stack, wherever the fault happened to be
-
Calendar and inbox management, content editing, and social scheduling
-
PR outreach, and research into partnerships and leads
What made it work
Continuity. Six months with one person who knows where everything lives beats a specialist per tool, because most of the failures in a stack like this happen between the tools rather than inside them. An email that does not fire is rarely an email problem. It is usually a tag that was never applied, three systems away.
Holding all of it meant I could find that, rather than reporting back that the email platform looked fine.
The outcome
The founder stopped being the fallback. Products sold and delivered without her checking, sequences ran without her watching, and launches happened on a plan rather than in a scramble. She gave me a public recommendation on LinkedIn at the end of it.
What the client said
"Abigail is an incredible operator! She supported me with diverse tasks including calendar and inbox management, content creation and editing, social media scheduling, PR outreach, and website design and development. She is a Squarespace ninja and did an amazing job setting up a complex series of email flows and automations - so grateful! Abigail is a wonderful communicator, responsive, detail-oriented and a joy to work with. I highly recommend her." Madeleine Eliza, Feminine Leadership Mentor
