About
My name is Abigail Andaya
My background is the wrong way round, and that is the point.
Most people in this field come to business from technology. I came to technology from running a business.
I studied computer technology and finished an associate degree in 2013. Family finances meant I could not continue to a bachelor's, so I went to work. I started as a data encoder, moved into billing and collections, and took my first international remote role with a client in Utah in 2015.
From 2016 to 2023 I ran a family boarding house business in Olongapo City. All of it. Income and disbursement, legal documents and business permits, marketing, and every conversation with tenants and officials.
In November 2023 I moved into digital systems work, starting with a coaching and publishing client in the United States. That engagement began as a few website layout fixes and grew into course builds, email automation, publishing support, and backend troubleshooting. Almost every engagement since has followed the same shape.
Seven years of running the whole thing, including the money, is why I build systems rather than just operate them. It is also why clients tend to hand me the parts of the business they cannot afford to have break.
